Alton Towers - Theme Park - Trill Rides - Derbyshire

Open from 20th March to 6th NovemberThe major attractions at Alton Towers include: Nemesis – Europe’s first inverted roller coaster. Oblivion – the world’s first vertical drop roller coaster. Air – the world’s first B&M flying roller coaster. Rita – a launched roller coaster which accelerates to 96 km/h (60 mph) in approximately 2.2 seconds. Th13teen – the world’s first vertical free fall drop roller coaster. It only takes about 40 minutes drive to Alton Towers from Elton Holidays.
 
 
 

Chatsworth House

Just outside the Hope Valley, close to the village of Baslow, Chatsworth House is arguably Derbyshire's finest stately home.  Owned by the Duke of Devonshire, Chatsworth House is well worth a visit for it architectural beauty, historical interest and the wealth of things to do.  Chatsworth has beautiful gardens, a farmyard, an adventure playground, gift shops and restaurants, plus over 1000 acres of land on which roam sheep and deer. The visitors' route through the house includes magnificent displays, galleries and a delightful stone courtyard.
 
In addition to the main house, there are several buildings in the grounds, including greenhouses, a stable block, Elizabethan buildings the Hunting Tower and Queen Mary's Bower, and the 17th Century Flora's Temple.   One of the main features at Chatsworth is the beautiful stone bridge.

Poole’s Cavern – found deep beneath the limestone hills on the edge of the historic Derbyshire spa town of Buxton.
This secret underground world once echoed to the sound of a glacial river that scoured the rock for millions of years. There is a country Park adjacent to the Cave and Go-Ape Adventure Park as well in the grounds. This is a fifteen minute walk into Buxton. There is so much to see in Buxton and it only takes about a 20 minute drive to get there from Elton Holidays.

Temple Mine Discover for yourself the network of tunnels that exist under your feet and wonder at the crystals glistening in the walls.  There is also a tourist information board situated here as well. Now that’s ancient. There’s some epic activities in the beautiful Derbyshire and Go Ape is one of them.
